Aims & Objectives

  • Identifying emotional wounds and habitual soothing practices
  • Identify positive contingency behaviours
  • Apply mindful techniques to become more aware of our thoughts and feelings – using Gestalt/phenomenological practice and applied theatre
  • Practicing acceptance and kindness to yourself in saying “no” to others and offering
  • Identify methods to avoid becoming emotionally drained, especially in the professions which involve emotional labour (Hochschild, 1983) (of which leadership is one)
