Brunel Business School- Business Management Series: Good Corporate Governance and Good Corporate Citizenship: Are they Conflicting Goals
The Brunel Business School is dedicated to excellence in learning and is in the top 20 universities for research. This passion in the pursuit of knowledge translates into teaching that engages and inspires.
As stakeholders other than shareholders in a corporation gain prominence, listed companies face a dilemma: Whose interests should they address? This BMS Masterclass will explore whether good corporate governance which focuses on shareholder’s interests is a goal that conflicts with good corporate citizenship that requires corporations to address other stakeholders' expectation. Are these conflicting goals?
