A BMS session: Novel Research Methods in Gender Studies
The seminar is focused on novel research methods used in gender studies. Providing a case study on refugee women in Jordan. Art and VR technology and how they have been employed for research purposes will be discussed in more detail; Body Mapping technique as a form of art can be employed to encourage women refugees to illustrate their experiences of displacement in paintings and colors, and Library of [Ourselves], a newly developed machine that employs VR technology, can be applied to film women refugees’ lives.
