ECDL Modular test - Word processing

Word processing
This unit develops the learner’s ability to create word-processed documents: entering text, editing and formatting work, and using graphs, tables and pictures for a professional finish. The learner will also understand how to work more effectively using tools such as the spell-checker and mail merge.

Aimed at

Those that have registered for an ECDL licence and completed the ECDL E-learning Training.

Aims & Objectives

Please note that this exam will be set under standard examination procedures and conditions. You are asked to arrive 20 minutes in advance of your examination to begin directly at 2pm.

If you are not sat down at least 10 minutes in advance of the start of the test you will not be permitted to take it.

You will need to bring your ID card with you to prove your identification to the invigilator, failure to bring photo identification with you will result in you being asked to leave and you will not be permitted to sit the exam. Once the examination has started, you will not be permitted to leave the examination to go to the toilet or get a drink.

Phones must be switched off and in your bags, placed at the front of the room.

You are not permitted to talk at any time throughout the examination, if you have a question for the invigilator please raise your hand. If you have any special requirements you must let us know during your registration in the section 'special requirements'.  at least 3 working days in advance of your examinationn.

No notes of any kind are permitted at your computer stations, if you are found with notes this will be considered cheating, you will be asked to leave the examination and you will receive an automatic fail and be reported to the BCS Institute of IT.
