Modern Manners in the workplace: MESAQ (morals, ethics, scruples, and quandaries)

This new course is open to all students across all departments of the University at any level with particular emphasis upon those about to enter the workplace.

This course is run for two hours every Wednesday 10-12pm from 17th January 2024 - 13th March 2024 inclusive (excluding 14th February).

I postulate that there has been a change in the framework of modern society brought about by a sudden evolution of globalisation, social media, and information overload: A fog of mundane and meaningless information and a general ‘dumming down’ focusing upon extreme emotions, sensationalism, and popularity.

Ignoring or else not otherwise knowing traditional systems of morals and ethics ingrained in the rule of manners and of etiquette, will leave you lacking in the workplace.

The objective of the course is to recalibrate your moral compasses in readiness for the workplace by setting you a series of scruples to work through in a conversational approach each session.

There is no homework and no reading material.  Just turn up with a view to presenting to your employer the best version of yourself.
