The Service Prosecution Authority talk and Mock Trial
The Service Prosecuting Authority (SPA) is the principal prosecuting authority within the Service Justice System and is responsible for the prosecution of all service offences before the Service Courts.
For a number of years, Brunel Law School has enjoyed a special relationship with the SPA and our students have benefitted from their mentorship and skills as prosecutors through the mock trial that takes place on campus annually. We welcome Capt. Camilla Gane to the Moot Court to talk to you about her career path and to tell you a bit more about a career at the SPA. You can also sign up to the mock trial spaces that may still be available.
The Mock Trial (live run through a real SPA case) Students have the opportunity to draft skeleton arguments, opening and closing speeches, prepare examination in chief and cross examination of witnesses and learn about the Judge’s decision-making process.
This oppprtunity is currently live and training will take place on 1st February 9-11am with the Mock Trial taking place on 29th March 11am-1pm. You must be available for both. Sign up through Law lives (https://ourbbs.brunel.ac.uk/).
